Ruins of Kennecott. Kennecott copper mine town in southeastern Alaska. The mill town was abandoned around 1938. Now a National Historic Landmark, it is located in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park - the largest national park in the U.S.A. View of the Kennecott town from the top of the mill. Kennicott Glacier and moraine are in the background with the power plant and machine shop on the other side of the street.
